Local Bands

Following are our favorite local tropical rock bands. Check our calendar to see when they will be in our area!

Mr. Myers

“Mr. Myers blends the Tropical Sounds of Soca & Calypso, the Rhythms of Reggae & Ska, as well as remakes of Rock+Roll & R+B Classics.  They also cover many songs by Jimmy Buffett, as well as Numerous Original Songs.”

Local Favorite Band & Frank Whiting
Local Favorite plays the best Classic and Southern Rock live! We are always learning new songs and typically add 1 or 2 new songs a week to our set list.

Frank Whiting has been performing as a solo act for over 7 years. Frank is featured at our club's One Particular Thursday - the second Thursday of the Month @ Cheeseburger in Paradise Downers Grove.

  South of Disorder

"The South of Disorder Band - a suburban Chicago-based tribute to the music of Jimmy Buffett, good times and the search for the perfect margarita!"

Johnny Russler & The Beach Bum Band

The Boat Drunks

"Buffett!  All Buffett, all time.  We play more Jimmy than Jimmy does.  We try and recreate the JB concert atmosphere every time we play.

Pirates Over 40

“We take pride in creating a tropical atmosphere in our shows by providing an escape from the land-locked Midwest to swaying palm trees, the radiant sun, and the sound of lumbering waves against the white sandy beaches.”

A Caribbean show band that features Steel Drums, incredible percussion, great vocals, Blue Man-style performance pieces, and more high-energy fun. In essence, the ultimate Island party. But much more than the standard Steel Drum band, they play an amazing variety of music as well – not only your tropical favorites, but many reggae classics and pop/rock party songs re-arranged to feel like the Islands. New hits, classic rockers, and many other surprises, all performed with an exotic twist!
